Quick Introduction - Martha Stewart Rules Book
This book is something that you might want
to read if you are thinking of starting a business.
You might know who Martha Stewart is and if
you don't. Do me a favor and search on google
or any search engine for Martha Stewart. She
has been in business for many years and her
knowledge in business is just amazing. She
will give you an honest opinion and feedback.
I got her book not just too long ago and I think
its just interesting the stories she shared
in this book and the advise she gives you.
In the beginning she tells the story for 2
ladies she met at a concentration camp.
These 2 ladies shared with Martha their
business dream of owning a hair salon.
Although these 2 ladies had no idea how
and where to start and they have never
been in business before they both had the
same dream. It's okay to have a business
idea. Their idea was just too big and complex.
Let me explain what Martha says in the book.
Martha Stewart: I studied the plans. They
wanted to create and operate a unisex hair
salon combined with a cafe, salad bar, and
soul food restaurant in a warehouse district
of a large southern city.
Martha's Stewart Feedback: Expressing my concern
that their was too ambitious, too old-fashioned,
I explained that in New York and other metro-
politan areas, hair salons were chic havens for
beauty, health, personal care, skin care and
nail care.
Martha's Stewart Solution: I encourage them to divide
the business in two: a restaurant, and a hair
salon that catered to male and female customers.
Martha also suggested for them to read fashion
magazines and also which
books to gather to do their research.
